i've reaced Prague!
hey ya'll i reached Prague well and in good spirits. the 9 hour time difference will be something to deal with in the first few days but for not, all is well. arrived at my air bnb with loyce arthur, my mentor and dear friend from BTN and the Un. of Iowa and her students to find a very small flat but manageable and comfortable. attended a wonderful welcome reception hosted my the great costume designer Susan Tsu.....her work has been revered for decades!.....i was also blessed and humbled to meet and hug my dear teacher and mentor from my day at the University of MD, Helen Huang.....if not for her, this career i have not might be what it is today. She found in me the desire to create, explore and imagine in ways that were limited to me at that time. Hence 30 years later i am on a restaurant patio reminiscing of old days and sharing stories of various design projects. she says she is proud of me and from the look in her eyes.....i am gratef...
